Headaches and migraine’s are multifaceted and often have many variables contributing including vision, the temporomandibular joint, cervical spine, and posture to name a few. Our therapists evaluate all of the possible variables and address each of them with manual therapy techniques including soft tissue massage, myofascial release, needling, strength, postural awareness, and handouts on healthy eye and sleep hygiene.

We understand how debilitating these can be and just how many variables contribute to the cause. We work closely with local neurologists to support and relieve chronic headaches and migraines.


vertigo, dizziness, and unsteadiness

If you have ever experienced dizziness, unsteadiness or a significant concussion you know that this can significantly impact your quality of life. Our therapist is trained by Emory School of Medicine on vestibular rehabilitation and passed an in person written examination demonstrating her skill and thorough comprehension of everything Vestibular. She is a cutting edge therapist who works closely with local Optometrist and is currently conducting research in the area of vision rehab as it applies to vestibular rehabilitation.


concussion management

We have the only American Physical Therapy Association certified vestibular therapist in the area, which includes advanced training in managing concussions. This means that she not only has the education, but took and passed a comprehensive examination to better understand and treat disorders of the brain that are effected by traumatic brain injury such as concussion. We also combine vision rehabilitation and our certification in manual therapy to address any/all orthopedic involvement of the cervical spine related to the impact, providing you with a well rounded approach to your care as you heal.

One of our passions is treating chronic pain. We appreciate that chronic pain can have many contributions and origins. We take the time to address the factors that could be contributing to your neck pain, including muscular or joint restrictions, posture, ergonomics, body mechanics, and muscle imbalances. Our founder as a former professional dancer and NFL cheerleader has spoken at international conferences, and educated each provider in her practice as to the importance of assessing the dancer as a whole and understanding the demands of dance on the body. Before going into surgery there is often a checklist of items that need to happen, but not to be overlooked is pre- and post- surgical physical therapy management. In preparation, it is important to approach surgery like an elite athlete by addressing soft tissue tightness, working on improving cardiovascular health, and optimizing range of motion and strength. We work to prepare mind and body for the healing process, utilizing acupuncture, cranial sacral therapy, and moving meditation.
